¹⁹ But God said, “No, but your wife Sarah will bear you ^(A)a son, and you shall name him ^[a]Isaac; and ^(B)I will establish My covenant with him as an everlasting covenant for his ^[b]descendants after him.

¹² But God said to Abraham, “^[a]Do not be distressed because of the boy and your slave woman; whatever Sarah tells you, listen to her, for ^(A)through Isaac ^[b]your descendants shall be named.

² And the Lord ^(A)appeared to him and said, “Do not go down to Egypt; ^(B)stay in the land of which I shall tell you. ³ Live for a time in this land and ^(C)I will be with you and ^(D)bless you, for ^(E)to you and to your ^[a]descendants I will give all these lands, and I will establish ^(F)the oath which I swore to your father Abraham. ^4 (G)I will multiply your ^[b]descendants as the stars of heaven, and will give your ^[c]descendants all these lands; and ^(H)by your ^[d]descendants all the nations of the earth ^[e]shall be blessed,

¹⁵ “^(A)The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among you, from your countrymen; to him you shall listen. ¹⁶ This is ^(B)in accordance with everything that you asked of the Lord your God at Horeb on the day of the assembly, saying, ‘Do not let me hear the voice of the Lord my God again, and do not let me see this great fire anymore, or I will die!’ ¹⁷ And ^(C)the Lord said to me, ‘They have ^[a]spoken well. ¹⁸ I will raise up for them a prophet from among their countrymen like you, and ^(D)I will put My words in his mouth, and ^(E)he shall speak to them everything that I command him.
